FPT SOFTWARE AI RESIDENCY RESEARCH PAPERS GOT ACCEPTED TO NEURIPS 2024 ⭐ Following the good news of two papers accepted at EMNLP 2024, FPT Software AI Center is pleased to announce that two research papers by Stefan Nielsen (Batch-4 AI Resident), Tho Tran (Batch-2 AI Resident), and An Nguyen The (Batch-5 AI Resident) have also been accepted at NeurIPS 2024. These two papers have increased the total count of accepted papers from FPT Software AI Residency to 88, with 65 of them featured in top-tier A*/A/Q1 journals, including IROS, ECML, and ACL. 💻 DEVELOPER DILEMMAS IN THE AGE OF GENERATIVE AI Amidst the rapid evolution of Generative AI, programmers are facing several concerning challenges. The three main worries that developers often encounter are: - Dependency on AI tools - Diminished foundational skills - Ineffective prompts for GenAI tools In an interview with VnExpress.net regarding this issue, Dr. Nghi Bui, Ph.D., Head of AI Research at FPT Software AI Center, emphasized that in the tech field, alongside utilizing AI tools, the ability to self-learn must be strongly cultivated. This is essential as experts must continually update their knowledge to keep pace with the rapid developments in the industry. To address these challenges, FPT Software is developing the AI4Code platform to assist programmers in automatically generating code and predicting commands. This platform addresses issues such as expanding datasets for machine learning, optimizing algorithms, and measuring the effectiveness of AI applications. AI4Code helps developers save time and enhance their skills while reducing concerns about reliance on AI tools. From September 9-13, Quoc-Anh Hoang Nguyen (Batch-2 AI Resident) had the opportunity to present his renowned research paper at the European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (ECML PKDD 2024) in Vilnius, Lithuania. The event spanned five days, featuring 258 research papers, which were presented across two poster sessions. Unlike other conferences, ECML PKDD 2024 had a unique format where each paper was presented both as a talk and a poster. This arrangement allowed authors to engage more deeply with the audience interested in their work. I had the opportunity to orally present my paper in the Bayesian Method Session, which enabled me to connect and discuss with several experts in the field. In addition to the paper presentations, ECML PKDD 2024 also hosted keynote talks, workshops, and tutorials, offering a great platform to explore cutting-edge innovations. I was particularly interested by Dr. Patrick Lucey’s keynote on leveraging and generating player tracking data in sports.
