Screensaver «The real matrix» for Windows

This screensaver emulates the falling green code, as shown in the hit movies "Matrix", "Matrix: Reboot" and "Matrix: Revolution".

There are tons of configuration options to customize the screensaver to your liking, including setting the color for characters, highlights, background, and noise. You can also change the message that appears as soon as the screensaver starts and the character sets for two styles of matrix fonts or binary, alphanumeric, numeric, symbols, and more. You can also enhance the 3D glyph settings by adding a mirror image to them. You can turn on/off sparks, noise, background lines, hallucinogenic effects, as well as the rotation of glyphs. Finally, you can change the matrix density, speed and zoom. There are also splash screen settings for setting your own music, with date and time.

How to install standby screen

Download and unpack the real-3d-matrix-free.exe archive using 7zip;
Move the *.src file to the following address: C:\Windows or C:\Windows\system32. For 64-bit operating systems, use the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.
For Windows 7/8: Open Control Panel and go to "Screen". Click the "Change screensaver" link in the sidebar.
For Windows 10/11: Open Settings (use the Win+I shortcut) and go to "Personalization". Under the "Lock Screen" tab, click the "Screen Saver Settings" link.
Then, in the "Screen Saver Settings" window, select the added screensaver from the drop-down list.
Save your changes by clicking "OK".
