Sony Ericsson Xperia arc, Xperia Play now Live on Rogers

Canadian smartphone enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc and Xperia Play since last month’s announcement of their upcoming arrival from Rogers.

Rogers now has Slimmest Android smartphone and Playstation phone

Rogers, the Canadian carrier, has expanded the dedicated site for these two phones from Sony Ericsson, complete with photos and detailed specifications. The arc boasts being the slimmest Android smartphone to date (measuring in at 8.7 mm), and features an enhanced display known as the Bravia engine. Its cousin, the Play, integrates gaming into an Android phone, and brandishes a Playstation console on the slider.

Both phones will be equipped with Android OS 2.3, (Gingerbread). The actual release dates and price plans are still yet to be announced, though you can register for email updates on these devices at Rogers’ site.
