Here’s a bit of exciting news. Marriott, one of the largest hotel chains out there, is working to bring some of our favorite services to the TV’s in every hotel room. They are looking to get Hulu+, Pandora and Netflix on to all of the TV’s in their hotel rooms. It’s a pretty great idea. I know when I’m staying in a hotel, I’m often using Netflix or Google Play Movies anyways, so that makes it a bit sweeter. What will be interesting is if you have to login to your own Netflix, Hulu+ or Pandora account while you are there. If so, I hope they auto-log people out when they check out of their hotel room. However, it sounds like it’ll be part of the charge for your room, which is even better.

“We have invited leading technology companies and content providers to work with us to design the next wave in in-room entertainment focussing on on-demand programming. We are currently offering guests in eight test hotels the opportunity to stream their content through our high-definition TVs whether it is Netflix, Hulu or Pandora.”

Currently, the hotel chain is testing out this technology, according to Bloomberg. So we may not see this happen anytime soon, but it’d be great if it did. Now all we need is Google Play Movies and we’re all set. Which I think would be big for Google, as they could make quite a bit more money with Google Play that way, and the hotel won’t have to worry about charging you for movies and such. Making it simpler for everyone.

What does everyone think about this? Is it worth it to have Pandora, Netflix and Hulu+ on Hotel TV’s in Marriott hotels in the near future? Or would you rather just stick with the crappy TV channels they have now? Let us know in the comments below.
