Over the past year or so, Android device manufacturers have been getting substantially better at getting Android updates out somewhat quickly. This includes the biggest Android manufacturer of them all, Samsung. So far this year, Samsung has been getting the Android Lollipop update rolled out to a good majority of their devices. The company has already pushed the update out to some variants of the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S5 Active, Galaxy Note 3, and last but not least, the Galaxy S4. Now, it looks as though the Android giant is preparing to push the Lollipop update out to three more of their devices.

Samsung’s Finland and Denmark websites are both detailing that the Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Note II, and Galaxy S5 Mini are next in line to receive Android Lollipop. The best part about this is, the update will be coming to these devices sooner than later. This news will surely make a lot of people very happy campers, especially owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note II who probably never thought that their device would officially receive the update to Lollipop, due to the two-year typical shelf life associated with android updating. Although some things have been said about the Galaxy Note II getting updated to Lollipop, this news just makes it that much more official.

So, if you are wondering when you can expect the Lollipop update to hit these three Samsung devices. Well, unfortunately, there is no official information currently available that pertains to any sort of definitive release timeframes or windows for the updates. But fret not, as there is some good news here. Samsung’s French branch is quoted saying that the Galaxy S5 Mini is scheduled to receive its Lollipop update in Q2 of this year. While there is no way to say for sure that the other two Samsung devices will receive their Lollipop updates in the same timeframe, it does seem likely that this is a possible scenario. If this turns out to be true, then owners of these three devices should not have to wait too long for their Lollipop update to arrive.
