Android 5.0 Lollipop - 8

Android 5.0 Lollipop Information:

Along with announcing Motorola Nexus 6 and HTC Nexus 9 devices Google also announced a new iteration of their operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop. This is the 9th version of Android OS which follows (respectively): Android 1.6 Donut, 2.0 Eclair, 2.2 Froyo, 2.3 Gingerbread,  3.0 Honeycomb, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.1 JellyBean and 4.4 KitKat. Google has improved many things in this iteration of Android, along with improving overall security of the OS Google has also introduced new features and basically redesigned the OS. They decided to make it skeuomorphic basically, you'll see lots of animations on the screen and you'll basically see every element of the OS move somewhere when you touch the screen or move your finger on it. Google still clings to flat design approach though they used way more colors in Android 5.0 than they did before, the colors are not flashy though, so they fit in quite nicely. New features are also here, but Android 5.0 Lollipop is all about little touches (redesigned look aside) and improvements all around than some huge change of how Android works. Google has optimized many things here and Project Volta improves battery life drastically. It would take a long time to list them all, you can find more information on our website though, just follow the links below.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Editor Rating:

I believe that Android 5.0 Lollipop is a move in the right direction for Google. Android 4.4 was a great OS, but there's always room for improvement and Lollipop sure does improve things. Design is a subjective thing, some will like the look of Android 5.0 Lollipop, others won't… I for one really like it, it look beautiful and mainstream to be quite honest. I believe many people will fell in love with this version of Android and that it look great as it is without any OEMs messing with it. Most importantly, Google made Android better under the hood, they improved many things as far as functionality of the system goes and I strongly do believe this is the best Android version thus far.
