The unannounced LG Stylo 4 Android smartphone is expected to go on sale soon in the United States, at T-Mobile’s prepaid subsidiary MetroPCS. The handset should come with an affordable price tag and mid-range specifications, as well as stylus support. The LG Stylo 4 will come as the successor to last year’s LG Stylo 3 and Stylo 3 Plus, which hit several carriers in the United States, including Boost Mobile and MetroPCS. Both of those handsets were budget-friendly offerings, and this year’s LG Stylo 4 is expected to be priced along the same lines as its predecessors. That said, it could carry a price tag of around $200, but it remains unconfirmed at this point.
Although the LG Stylo 4 will feature stylus support, it will be no match for the high-end Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Instead, the LG Stylo 4 will cater to the mid-range segment of the smartphone market, aiming to deliver a decent performance without breaking the bank. Newly-leaked marketing materials for the MetroPCS LG Stylo 4 reveal the smartphone’s core specifications. That said, the handset is expected to feature a 6.2-inch FullVision display with a full HD+ resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (unspecified model) clocked at 1.8GHz, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage space, and microSD support for up to 2TB of additional storage.
The LG Stylo 4 is further expected to feature a 13-megapixel main camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), a 5-megapixel front camera with a wide-angle lens, AI-based QLens features, and enhanced stylus features for an improved experience overall. The handset should launch with Android 8.1 Oreo on board out of the box and is expected to hit the market on Monday, June 18. Leaked marketing images for the LG Stylo 4 on MetroPCS also reveal a 3,300 mAh battery, which should deliver a decent performance on a single charge. In terms of design, the LG Stylo 4 is taller and sleeker than its predecessor, sporting slimmer bezels around the display, but with the same polycarbonate build. If the smartphone will indeed make its official debut next week, LG and/or MetroPCS should make a formal announcement soon enough. Until then, all specs and pricing expectations remain in the rumor state.
