So, if you any of the Sprint or T-Mobile Galaxy Note 20 series device, then you are in for a treat because both the carriers have now started rolling out the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update.

Well, Sprint has been freshly acquired by T-Mobile. As noted by Sammobile, it seems like Sprint wants to impress T-Mobile, just as a new employee wants to impress its boss.

Good thing is that the boss, i.e. T-Mobile, is also not too far behind and has started rolling out the Android 11 One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy Note 20 series phones.

Recently, AT&T Galaxy Note 20 units also started bagging the latest One UI 3.0 update. And now, its closest rival T-Mobile and Sprint have also pushed the new updates for their Note 20 variants.

Notably, Galaxy Note 20 (SM-N981U) and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (SM-N986U) models are the ones receiving the updates. The updates for the Sprint Galaxy Note 20 and T-Mobile Galaxy Note 20 devices are rolling out via OTA.

Talking about the changes that this new Android 11 One UI 3.0 update brings, apart from all the user interface changes, and the stock Android 11 changes, this update also includes features of Samsung One UI 3.0.

Features like Quick Settings toggle, notification bubbles, redesigned volume controls, revamped home screen design, new icons, video enhancer, improved privacy and security controls, and much more have been bundled with One UI 3.0.

Sprint and T-Mobile Galaxy Note 20 are getting the update with build CTL2

The update for both Sprint and T-Mobile Galaxy Note 20 units are getting the update with build number CTL2. Since the updates are pushed in a gradual manner, it will take some time in hitting all the units.

Apparently, there is no clarity on which month’s security patch, the new Android 11 One UI 3.0 update for the Sprint or T-Mobile brings in for the Galaxy Note 20. We assume that it will be the latest December 2020 security patch.

As far as the updates are concerned, you can either wait for the official OTA to arrive. Or you can manually check for the update by heading over to “Settings.” Then navigate to “System updates.” From there, tap the “Download and install” option.

If a new update is available, then you can proceed with downloading and installation of the update on your phone. It is possible that the update won’t be available straight away. So, you may need to wait for the rollout to expand for more users.
