Samsung has given the Galaxy Z Flip 5G a permanent price cut now, shaving $250 off of its regular price. This brings the Galaxy Z Flip down to just $1,199. Still quite expensive for a phone with aging specs, but not bad for a foldable.

Additionally, you can get up to $1,000 off if you trade-in your current smartphone. Making the Galaxy Z Flip 5G very affordable.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is essentially the same as the regular Galaxy Z Flip, but with the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset and a few new colors. Which also makes it 5G compatible. And surprisingly, it is now $100 cheaper than the Galaxy Z Flip. Giving you more reasons to grab the 5G model.

Galaxy Z Flip 5G is a great first foldable phone to buy

The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is a really great first foldable phone for anyone out there. Because it’s a clamshell foldable, instead of one like the Fold where it opens up to a small tablet. Meaning that it can fit in your pocket easier, and can be used a regular smartphone.

It sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage on-board. There is also a somewhat small 3300mAh capacity battery inside. But since this is a FHD+ display, and not 120Hz, it should get you through the full day with ease. Which is always a good thing.

It’s like a flip phone, but in 2021. And can connect to the internet – unlike most flip phones.

Samsung offers the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black (the Mystic White is sold out, and we are unsure if it will ever be available again). You can purchase your Galaxy Z Flip 5G from Samsung by clicking here. It is unlocked, and compatible with all three US carriers – AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
