Verizon is now rolling out the latest February 2021 security updates to a new batch of Samsung phones. Notably, Verizon Galaxy S21/S21+ and Galaxy Note 10/10+ is picking up the February security update.

Samsung has held the position of being the number one when it comes to delivering the latest security patches. Earlier, there are times when Samsung delivered the latest security patch even way before the start of that month.

Well, the above statement would have sounded absurd about 3-4 years back. But lately, Samsung is trying its best to push the latest updates, be it security updates or firmware updates.

Samsung has already updated the Galaxy S20 carrier unlocked models with the latest February security patch. The update is currently live in multiple markets.

And it is a good sign that carriers are also keeping up with the benchmark that the OEM has set for its devices. Apparently, Verizon is among the first carriers to push the latest updates and it is doing the same now as well.

The update for the Verizon Galaxy S21 arrives with firmware version G991USQU1AUAG, while the Verizon Galaxy S21+ picks up the February 2021 patch as firmware version G996USQU1AUAG.

As per the official changelog mentioned on the software update page of Verizon, the update does not bring anything new to the devices apart from bumping the security patch level to February 2021. For some unknown reasons, Verizon has not updated Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Not only the Galaxy S21 and S21+, but Verizon is also rolling out the February 2021 patch for its Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ variants as well.

It arrives with build EUA1 for both the Galaxy Note 10 Verizon models. Apart from the latest security patch, the update does not bring any new features to the table.

Well, you should know that these updates are seeding via OTA in batches. Meaning that not all the phones will pick up the updates at the same time. However, you can check for the update manually on your phone.

In order to that head over to Settings. Then go to “System updates.” From there, you need to tap the “Download and install” option. If the software checker detects a new update, then you can proceed with downloading and installation of the latest update.

In case the update is not available, then you may need to wait for the rollout to expand for more users. Note that Verizon Galaxy Note 10 series is already updated with the latest Android 11 One UI 3.0 update.
