Implementing apps on computer platforms seems to be the latest thing, as Windows PCs are getting apps from both Amazon and Google itself. We’ve known that Google is bringing Google Play Games to Windows PCs, and now we have a leaked video showcasing it. This video comes courtesy of Mishaal Rahmanon Twitter.

Since the announcement that Android apps were coming to Windows 11, we knew that they were from Amazon. Everyone was a bit disappointed because they really Google to partner with Microsoft to bring the full Android experience to PCs. Regardless, there are more than 1,000 apps slated to be hitting Windows 11 PCs soon via Amazon in the near future.

A leaked video shows Google Play Games on a PC

A while back, Google announced that it was working on bringing Google Play Games to Windows PCs. This seemed like a weird move because there were also Amazon apps coming. However, the Amazon apps are specifically for Windows 11, whereas, Google didn’t make that distinction.

Right now, Google Play Games on PC is being beta tested in three markets: Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan. People in those three markets will need to join the beta waitlist. The fact that it’s just started beta testing means that it will be a while before it reaches other markets.

Now, thanks to the tweet, we have a look at what this will look like. A video just leaked showing how Google Play Games look on a PC. The video, unfortunately, doesn’t show any gameplay or downloads, but it shows the interface of the launcher.

For starters, all of the apps are arranged in a grid that’s pretty thin which makes it look formatted for a phone’s display. The first screen we see shows all of the featured apps which appear in larger tiles. However, the top featured game, Asphalt 9: Legends, shows a full-motion video. Other featured apps are smaller by comparison and have static thumbnails.

In this beta, there’s a limited selection of games that you can choose from. In the video, under the “All Games” tab, the user scrolls through all of the games, and it shows only 24 games. As with the Amazon games, more games will become available as time goes on.
