Samsung‘s June 2023 update is now available for the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Note 10 Lite, and a couple of budget models, namely the Galaxy M12 and Galaxy A04s. These devices join dozens of others at the party. The latest security patch is yet to roll out to the Galaxy S23 series, though.

As of this writing, the June SMR (Security Maintenance Release) for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra is available to users in a few European countries. Samsung should expand the rollout to more countries in the region over the next few days, before eventually pushing the update in other markets, including the US.

Rolling out with the firmware build number G99*BXXU8EWF1, the latest update for the Galaxy S21 series doesn’t bring much. Samsung’s official changelog mentions some device stability and reliability improvements along with this month’s security fixes. The new SMR contains fixes for more than 60 vulnerabilities, including at least three critical flaws.

These security fixes are also rolling out to the Galaxy Note 10 Lite in Europe. The new build number for this phone is N770FXXU9HWE1. Samsung is pushing the update with the same changelog. The company should widely release the latest security patch for this phone in the coming days. The Galaxy Note 10 Lite never arrived in the US.

The June update is also available for the Galaxy M12 and Galaxy A04s

This month’s security update is also rolling out to Samsung’s Galaxy M12 and Galaxy A04s, both of which are budget handsets that saw limited release in markets outside the US. The former is picking up the new SMR with a massive changelog, though. More precisely, it’s getting the latest security patch as part of the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 update.

The big update for the Galaxy M12 is currently available to users in South Korea with the build number M127NKOU5DWF1, SamMobile reports. As you might expect, it brings a host of new features and improvements to the device. The company should push One UI 5.1 and the June SMR to this budget phone in other markets soon.

Meanwhile, if you’re using the Galaxy A04s in Latin America, this month’s security fixes are headed your way. Samsung is rolling out the new SMR to the phone with the build number A047MUBS4CWE2 (via). It isn’t getting anything else. This phone recently picked up the May SMR in some markets. It may not get the new security patch in those regions. As always, you can check for updates from the Software update menu in the Settings app.
