JBL announced some new portable speakers for CES 2024
Those in need of an extreme speaker should look into the JBL Xtreme 4. Coming in at $379.95, it’s IP67 water and dust-resistant, and it has a ton of features that people will surely love. The speaker has a useful shoulder strap that you can use to carry it around. Another great feature is the fact that it can be used as a power bank to charge your devices when they run low. The JBL Xtreme 4 uses AI to enhance the sound, which should definitely make a noticeable difference. You’ll be able to listen to that enhanced sound for up to 30 hours on a single charge.
Next, we have the JBL Clip 5. This speaker shares the IP67 water and dust resistance rating and it’s also made from recycled fiber and plastic. The speaker is designed to clip onto your backpack or other gear so you don’t have to worry about holding it. If you’re going on a long hike, then the 12-hour battery life of the speaker definitely won’t hurt. The JBL Clip costs $79.95.
Rounding out the portable speakers JBL announced at CES 2024, we have the JBL Go 4. This speaker comes in at $49.95 and, it can to go places. This speaker is IP67 water and dust-resistant, meaning that it can be submerged in up to three feet of freshwater for 30 minutes. So, you won’t have to worry about taking it out on a hike or beach party. The speaker is great for casual get-togethers with friends or just private listening. You’ll be able to listen to the speaker for up to seven hours on a single charge.
Party Boxes
JBL also announced some larger speakers at CES 2024. Those looking to throw a party should not overlook the JBL PartyBox Club 120. Weighing in at $399.95, this large speaker will fill large rooms with full and amazing sound. It’s IPX4 splashproof, so if someone gets a little too excited during a party and spills their drink, your speaker will be fine. You are able to connect this speaker with other speakers using Auracast. You’ll be able to party for a while because the speaker comes with 12 hours of music playback along with a replaceable battery that you can change on the fly.
Those looking for a more robust party experience should think about the JBL PartyBox Stage 320. The speaker costs $599.95, and it delivers 240W of RMS power. It has a 2x 25mm dome tweeter + 2x 6.5” woofer combination, so you know that you’re getting a ton of power with amazing sound. It’s also IPX4 splashproof, compatible with Auracast, and it uses the same AI sound boost technology that we saw with the PartyBox 120 and the Xtreme 4. Just like the Partybox 120, this has a replaceable battery, but you can listen to it for 18 hours.
