So… things are getting very complicated when it comes to Samsung’s upcoming flagships. A new report from Galaxy Club claims that both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim and Galaxy Z Flip 6 Slim could be on the way, causing confusion.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim & Flip 6 Slim were spotted, and it’s odd
The source spotted the ‘Q6 Slim’ and ‘B6 Slim’ devices. The first one is said to be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, and the second for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Slim. Even the ‘Q6 Slim Pro’ and ‘B6 Slim Pro’ were spotted. The source does claim that there’s a good chance those are the same devices.
Why did I mention that things are getting complicated, though? Well, first, this is the first time we’re hearing about the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Slim. Second, we’ve received a different report recently, from a trusted source.
Ross Young, a trusted display analyst, said that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is on the way. He’s not sure about the name, though. A well-known tipster, Ice Universe, said that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is actually the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.
Another Galaxy Z Flip 6 variant doesn’t make much sense
That did make sense, but the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Slim rumor is bringing more confusion to the table. Why? Well, if the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will be called the ‘Ultra’, then is the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Slim the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Ultra?
That would be a very odd move from Samsung. Why, well, the base models of both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 will be immensely powerful. Doing the ‘Ultra’ for the ‘Fold 6’ makes sense, to a degree, if the company can make it thinner and lighter.
The same does not make much sense for the Galaxy Z Flip 6. We’re not really sure what’s going on here, but it’s confusing. We’ll have to wait for more information.
