Samsung‘s upcoming foldables could feature design inspirations from the Galaxy S24 series. Leaked renders via third-party case manufacturers reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have a flatter frame than their predecessors. The company did something similar with its S series flagships earlier this year.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6 feature design elements inspired by Galaxy S24
Last year, Samsung substantially changed the look and feel of its foldable smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 introduced a new gapless design with a flat frame. The devices also saw improvements in dimension and weight, making for a more refined overall shape. On top of this, the Flip model gained a much bigger cover display.
Leaks have already revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 will refine the current design language rather than completely reinventing it. We have seen renders of both foldables and Samsung is keeping things consistent across the two. A fresh set of renders now gives us a closer look at the unannounced devices, revealing some finer design elements.
Posted on X by reliable tipster Roland Quandt, we have a couple of images showing the Galaxy Z Flip 6 from two different angles. A close inspection of the images reveals a few minor design changes. The frame is flatter than before. It is more akin to the Galaxy S24 lineup than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The speaker grille also no longer has multiple holes. Like on the Galaxy S24, it is a coin slot-like cutout.
Additionally, Samsung seems to have reduced the gap between the two camera rings on the backside. It is unclear whether the company has made the rings bigger or brought the lenses closer. While Quandt didn’t share renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, someone posted those under his post. The Fold model sees similar changes in the frame and camera design, though the speaker grille is unchanged.

They may not accurately depict the final design or the finer design elements of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 we talked about.
