If you were hoping to grab the all-new Vivo X100 Ultra flagship, well, you won’t be able to, as it won’t be available globally. The device will remain exclusive to China, unfortunately.
The Vivo X100 Ultra won’t be available globally, unfortunately
The company representatives confirmed to GSM Arena that the phone will not get a global variant. The Vivo X100 Pro, on the other hand, did launch outside of China, a global model is available out there.
Truth be said, the Vivo X100 Pro is a great phone, but the Vivo X100 Ultra does trump it. It comes with an improved camera setup on the back, with Sony’s new 1-inch type sensor.
It uses a 1-inch type camera for the main unit, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera
The Vivo X100 Ultra features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 main camera. That is the same main camera that the OPPO Find X7 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra are using.
The camera that probably got even more attention, though, is the periscope telephoto one. Vivo used a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP9 sensor here (3.7x optical, 100x digital zoom). That camera is also in charge of taking macro shots. The third camera on the back is a 50-megapixel ultra-low distortion ultrawide camera. ZEISS T* coating is applied on all of those cameras.
The rest of the phone’s specs are equally impressive, though. It includes a 6.78-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display. It has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and high-frequency PWM dimming too.
Qualcomm’s most powerful chip is also used here
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 fuels this smartphone, while it packs up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Vivo also used UFS 4.0 flash storage here. A 5,500mAh battery is also included, while 80W wired, and 30W wireless charging is supported.
Vivo also went for an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner here. Android 14 comes pre-installed on the device, and so on. This phone has a lot to offer, that’s the whole point. If you really want it, you’ll have to import it, and deal with the fact it comes with software made for China.
