Best Buy has an amazing deal on the ASUS Chromebook that is too good to pass up, especially if you’re on the hunt for a new laptop or a backup. Chromebooks are great for anything you might need a Windows or Mac laptop for, and the ASUS Chromebook is one of the better models available right now. It would normally cost you $299 if you had to pay the full retail price. However, Best Buy is currently offering it for half off, so you save $150 and only pay $149 instead.
That right there is a major deal. This model of the ASUS Chromebook comes equipped with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. It also has a 14-inch FHD display and it’s powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor which is pretty darn good for multitasking or everyday tasks.
You can also use this laptop for gaming thanks to NVIDIA GeForce NOW. We wouldn’t normally suggest a Chromebook for gaming. After all, they’re not really built to offer the kind of specs you would expect from a gaming laptop. That being said, GeForce NOW has official Chromebook support. And GeForce NOW lets you stream your games in the cloud to the Chromebook. So you aren’t actually installing anything or running it locally. This works great and lets you run games at high settings with the Priority or Ultimate memberships.
The ASUS Chromebook also comes with a card reader that supports microSD, SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards for file transfer. On top of that, it has a headphone jack too. Best of all, it’s 0.72 thin and only weighs about 3.2 lbs. with a battery life of up to 15 hours. Making it an excellent option for students or even professionals.
