While Amazon isn’t offering some of the same discounts as Samsung right now, for the new Galaxy S25 series, you can get a pretty good deal without trading in your current phone. The Galaxy S25 will net you a $100 Amazon Gift Card, while the Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra will get you a $200 gift card. And then you can sell your old phone elsewhere, and make more than you would with a trade-in. Not too shabby.
Amazon does have the Galaxy S25 in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models. Unfortunately, they are not doing the free storage upgrade that Samsung’s website does. If you’re looking for that, then you will want to use Samsung.com.
The Galaxy S25 is the smaller of Samsung’s three Galaxy S25 models that were released this year. It sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ display, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. It also has 12GB of RAM, 128GB of storage (with options for 256GB and 512GB), and a 4,000mAh capacity battery powering the whole thing. It’s one of the few “small” phones still on the market. It’s actually quite a bit smaller than the Pixel 9 (and Pixel 9 Pro).
The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy that is inside the Galaxy S25 series is actually a fully custom AP that Qualcomm and Samsung developed. This allows it to better integrate with the camera and other internals of the phone. Samsung says that this makes their version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite more efficient than competitors, and so far in our testing of the three Galaxy S25 phones, that does seem to be true.
The Galaxy S25 is a really good, well-rounded phone from Samsung, even if it is still quite similar to last year’s phone.
