ICYMI, last week we found out that 19-year-old Millie Bobby Brown and 20-year-old Jake Bongiovi are engaged, which sparked a whole conversation about celebs who tied the knot as teens.
But not everyone finds their love story in their first act, of course. A lot of beautiful celebrity love stories have come later in life.
Here are some of the celebs who have said their "I do's" in their 60s, 70s, and 80s.
1. Dennis Quaid, 65, was introduced to Laura Savoie, 26, by a mutual friend in 2019, and they got engaged later that year.
The couple got married in June 2020.
"Laura is the love of my life. We have the most incredible relationship," he told People magazine of their bond.
2. Sir Elton John was 58 when he and David Furnish entered a civil partnership in 2005.
In 2014, the two tied the knot when same-sex marriage was legalized in the UK, when the singer was 67. Furnish was 52.
The two are dads to two sons: Elijah, 10, and Zachary, 12.
3. Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford met at the Golden Globes in 2002, when he was 60 and she was 48.
After eight years together, Ford and Flockhart got married at the Governor's Mansion in Santa Fe. He was 67 and she was 45.
The couple are parents of a son, Liam, 21.
4. David Foster and Katharine McPhee first ignited relationship rumors in 2017, when they were spotted together after his divorce from Yolanda Hadid.
The two made their debut as a couple at the 2018 Met Gala, kicking off a whirlwind that reached its peak when they got married in 2019. McPhee was 35, while Foster was 69.
Still going strong, the couple welcomed son Rennie in February 2021. The mom has even entertained the idea of growing her family with her now-73-year-old husband.
5. Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell met in the summer of 2007.
Nancy is a cousin of Barbara Walters, who was the one to introduce the two in the Hamptons years ago.
Despite the 18-year age difference, the two hit it off and got married in 2011, when he was 69 and she was 51.
6. Jeff Goldblum met Emilie Livingston in an Equinox gym, he told Wired.
The two tied the knot in November 2014 at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Goldblum was 62 and Livingston was 31.
The two welcomed son Charlie, now 7, the following year. They're also the parents of son River, 5.
7. In 2008, George Takei and Brad Altman became husbands and were even one of the first couples in West Hollywood to get a marriage license after same-sex marriage was legalized in California.
At the time of their nuptials — three years after Takei publicly came out — the Star Trek actor was 71 years old and Altman was 54.
In the years since, the couple have fiercely advocated for the LGBTQ community and were honored with the International Vanguard Award for their work in 2014.
8. Dick Van Dyke met his now-wife, Arlene Silver, back in 2007, when she was working as a makeup artist at the SAG Awards, which the actor was attending.
The couple got married in 2012 when he was 86 and she was 40.
"I thought there would be an outcry about a gold digger marrying an old man,” he told Closer Weekly about his concerns before tying the knot, adding, "but no one ever took that attitude."
9. Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva started dating in 2014, about a year after the end of his previous relationship.
The couple tied the knot in April 2018, when he was 68 and she was 35.
Speaking with Hello magazine in 2018 about their age gap, Silva said, "In this life, it had to be like this. He has promised me at least 20 good years! I have to confess that he has much more energy than me; he's much more active. I find it hard to keep up with him. He's not human!"
10. Sir Patrick Stewart and Sunny Ozell met back in 2008 at a restaurant, where she was waiting tables and he was dining.
The Star Trek star was 73 and the singer was 35 when they tied the knot (with Sir Ian McKellen officiating) in September 2013.
"I've never met anyone like her before," he told People magazine in 2022. "She is so smart and so informed. And her intellectual accomplishments are extraordinary. She remembers everything."
11. Robert Redford was 60 when he met German artist Sibylle Szaggars.
The two got married in 2009 when Redford was 72 and Szaggars was 51.
Redford spoke with AARP about his relationship in 2011, noting, "She's a very special person. She's younger than I am, and European, which I like, so that's a whole new life. I ride horses, ski, play pretty hard tennis. I still have energy. When that starts to shut down, I might start to think about age."
12. Daryl Hannah and Neil Young were rumored to be an item in the fall of 2014.
After speculations months earlier, Young, 72, confirmed that he and Hannah had gotten married in November 2018, when she was 57.
The private couple was most recently spotted in February at at an old growth–logging protest rally in British Columbia.
