Fighting game Skullgirls does not have a sequel. However, there's a fighting game on the App Store right now called Skullgirls 2: Deadly Airport.
If the subtitle didn't tip you off that Deadly Airport isn't a legitimate game, the description on the App Store might:
The developer further promises that the mobile game brings a "visual aesthetic feast" and "never loot your foot addiction." Sounds legit!
Deadly Airport isn't just ripping off Skullgirls, though. The developer also pulled in Hugo and Poison of Final Fight and Street Fighter fame. Not all of the characters featured in the screenshots appear to even be playable, though.
As you might imagine, the user reviews aren't stellar. Here's the best of the bunch:
The only positive thing you can say about the game is that it's free. That's because the developer's making money off advertisements throughout the app.
The official Skullgirls Twitter account noticed the game on the App Store on October 22nd. It still hasn't been taken down yet but the developers seem confident that one of the companies being ripped off here will be able to convince Apple to take action:

Who knows, though. The developer seems to be making these games faster than Apple can take them down. Since releasing Skullgirls 2, he has also released a Dragon Ball Z rip-off with the much better title of Legendary Fool Vs Real Idiot FREE. His Awesome Block Man, meanwhile, manages to copy Mario and Minecraft at the same time. I'm far from the first person to say this but Apple seriously needs to clean up the App Store.
