Play OverviewPlay Overview

Mars First Logistics (2023) is a traversal game where you build robots to move awkwardly-shaped objects across the surface of Mars. It's a simple concept, but to contend with the cumbersome objects and rough terrain you need to use every tool at your disposal to create ingenious contraptions. It's a great way to learn from your frequent and hilariously unpredictable failures to iterate on your designs and craft functioning machines.

You play on the surface of Mars and must help build outposts and research facilities by moving materials and tools from base to base. To do so, you construct robotic rovers that can pick up the items and move them across the surface. You can use arms, pistons, treads, and lots more components to create your vehicles.

While it starts relatively simply, it quickly becomes more challenging due to the terrain, such as towering cliffs, craters, and chasms. The objects you need to transfer also get more challenging, such as a pizza that can fall out of its box, a robot that can fall apart, or a huge girder that can topple your robot over. Success often comes only after countless failures and experiments where you learn from your mistakes to create new and ambitious creations. As you progress, you earn money you can use to unlock new parts to aid you and paint to customise your creations.

The result is a unique game that challenges you to be a true inventor, learning from mistakes, iterating on designs, and persevering in the face of adversity to succeed. Finally overcoming each new challenge after countless failures is hugely rewarding.
