Along with the MIX Fold 4, Xiaomi also introduced the MIX Flip, the company’s first flip phone at its China event, as it had promised.
The phone packs a large 6.86-inch TCL C8+ 1.5K 1-120Hz AMOLED screen with 3000 nits peak brightness, and there is a 4-inch 1.5K TCL C8+ 120Hz AMOLED screen with 3000 nits peak brightness on the outside with quad-curved design.
The outer display interaction has been restructured, allowing it to function as a highly functional “compact phone” without opening the device, said the company. The outer display inherits the comprehensive display gestures and notification/control center swipe-down interaction logic, supports auto-rotation, making it suitable for both left and right hands, and features a full-display keyboard.
Over 200 of the most popular applications run perfectly on the equivalent 3.5″, 16:9 main application area. With the flexible framework of Xiaomi HyperOS, applications display without obstructions or cropping, offering a smooth experience, said Xiaomi. There are time, weather, step count, music control widgets, and recently used apps during daily use. In scenarios like calling taxis, food delivery, flights/trains, widgets will automatically switch to focus notification display, updating status information in real-time, it added.
The MIX Flip is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, has redesigned a 3D cooling system with a large 3500mm² VC area with a unique “staircase” design that quickly dissipates heat from the SoC. The Xiaomi’s SU7 “aerogel” thermal insulation material is used near the inner display side of the “staircase” structure, effectively blocking heat transfer to the display and improving the user experience when touching the display, added Xiaomi.
The middle frame uses the same 6M42 aluminum alloy as the MIX Fold 4, and the Xiaomi Shield Glass and UTG ultra-thin flexible glass protect the outer and inner displays. The compact dual-link hinge’s internal mechanism uses the same high-strength and wear-resistant materials as the MIX Fold 4, with a folding and unfolding lifespan of 500,000 times, certified by SGS reliable folding certification. It also offers a Xiaomi Nylon Fiber special edition of meticulously woven nylon fiber with excellent abrasion and stain resistance.
The phone has a Leica Summilux lenses for the 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor and there is a 50MP 47mm 3x Leica floating telephoto lens with a minimum focusing distance of 9cm. Xiaomi MIX Flip also incorporates the Xiaomi AISP large model computational photography platform, supporting advanced imaging scenarios with up to 60 TOPS of processing power. The cameras can also be used when using the outer screen, and it even supports a makeup mirror mode.
The MIX Flip has a large 4780mAh, surpassing the flagship Xiaomi 14, thanks to Xiaomi’s Surge battery tech with 6% silicon content in the negative electrode. It can maintain at least 80% capacity after 1600 cycles, said the company.

The Xiaomi MIX Flip comes in White, Black, Purple, and Xiaomi nylon fiber edition that offers a Xiaomi Nylon Fiber special edition of meticulously woven nylon fiber with abrasion and stain resistance.
It is priced at 5999 yuan (USD 825 / Rs. 69,085 approx.) for 12GB+256GB, 6499 yuan (USD 894 / Rs. 74,845 approx.) for 12GB+512GB and the top-end 16GB+1TB is priced at 7299 yuan (USD 1,004 / Rs. 84,060 approx.). The ring-shaped protective case is priced at 129 yuan, the Xiaomi MIX Flip portable camera set is priced at 499 yuan.
It is now available to order and will go on sale starting from July 23rd.
