AI Predicts Marvel Will Cast Millie Bobby Brown As Squirrel Girl
As artificial intelligence grows and improves, we’re finding more uses for it. Big data problem-solving. In-depth coding projects. Autonomous vehicles. Drug discovery and personalized medicine. High-frequency trading. Hollywood movie casting.
We slipped that last one right in there. If we aren’t using AI to predict the future of Hollywood, then what value does it have, really? It’s time to find out.
We’ve put together our own AI model, fed it with all the relevant information, and asked it to predict a future casting announcement. What we got back was surprising.
According to our AI model, Millie Bobby Brown will soon join the Marvel universe. AI says we should expect Millie Bobby Brown to be cast as the superhero character Squirrel Girl.
AI says this casting prediction has a 70% chance of coming true.
Please note: This is not a casting report; it is an AI prediction. As far as we know, it isn’t true, at least not yet.
Squirrel Girl is Doreen Green, and as her name suggests, she has the abilities of a squirrel. That includes extreme agility and strength, sharp claws, and a knuckle spike with a bushy tail.
The classic comic book from of the character is fun-loving, playful, and naturally upbeat. The light-hearted tone works perfectly for someone like Millie Bobby Brown, who grew up almost before our eyes and almost all on Netflix in Stranger Things, Enola Holmes, and Damsel.
Squirrel Girl first appeared in comics back 1991, and there was supposed to be a live-action version of the character in New Warriors. Unfortunately, that show never got off the ground.
When we first meet Squirrel Girl, she, along with Monkey Joe, is battling Doctor Doom. That’s a nice dovetail with what’s happening in the MCU sooner than later, since we now know that Robert Downey Jr. is playing the character in the new Avengers timeline.
There’s only one problem with casting of Millie Bobby Brown as Squirrel Girl. Namely, in the comic books, she is only 14 years old. That isn’t ideal, though we believe this is something our AI model accounted for in its original assessment.
It’s easy to imagine Marvel changing the character’s age, to fit whatever they have in mind for her.
The bigger question is, how accurate will AI be at predicting the future? Is it really possible for an AI model to ingest past data and predict future results?
We’re about to find out. I’ll track this prediction carefully and report back on whether or not AI gets it right.
