Punjab exports first shipment of Pathankot’s litchi to England

According to horticulture minister Chetan Singh Jouramajra, efforts will be made to export other horticultural crops as well in collaboration with the horticulture department and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority.

Subsidy on 2.3K-quintal hybrid maize seeds for state farmers

According to agriculture and farmers welfare minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, farmers can avail ₹100 as subsidy on purchase of every 1 kg of hybrid maize seeds. The subsidy is for a maximum 5 acres of area or 40 kg per farmer.

The purpose is to wean farmers from water-guzzling paddy crop to save the groundwater.
