Taliban warns Pakistan over airstrikes, says 'don't test patience of Afghans'

Pakistan's aircrafts bombed civilians' homes in the Spera district of the southeastern Khost province killing more than 40 civilians. The Pakistan's Foreign Office has neither confirmed the strike, nor addressed it was carried out by the aircraft.

SpiceJet’s Kabul flight intercepted by Pak’s F-16 jets due to ‘misunderstanding’

One official said Pakistani authorities mistook the SpiceJet flight for a military aircraft. The airliner was intercepted by two F-16 jets and escorted for almost half an hour.

Woman fighter controller who helped intercept Pak’s air attack gets medal

Sq Ldr Minty Aggarwal was part of a team of seven fighter controllers on duty on February 27 morning and controlled the Indian Air Force’s interception package launched to stop Pakistan’s fighter jets.

Sources said Sq Ldr Minty Aggarwal told Wing Commander Abinandan Varthaman to turn back at the right moment but the pilot did not get the message as Pakistan had jammed the communication system.(PTI image)

If his MiG 21 Bison had been equipped with anti-jamming technology, Varthaman may have turned around when instructed to. That would have prevented him from being shot down and taken captive by Pakistan.

Changsha 5712 Aircraft Industry, which operates under the state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), reassembled the overhauled JF-17 fighter jet and delivered it to Pakistan in March, China Aviation News reported earlier this week.

Pakistan on Thursday said it will “soon” respond to a dossier handed over to it by India on “specific details” of involvement of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in the deadly Pulwama terror attack as also the presence of camps of the UN-proscribed terror outfit in the country.
