This ergonomic mechanical pencil is perfect for students, office workers, and anyone else who appreciates a quiet and comfortable writing instrument. Both the top push button and the Fure Fure shaker mechanism have been carefully designed to create 50% less noise than typical shaker pencils. Like all Dr. Grip pens and pencils, it features an ergonomic silicone grip and perfectly balanced barrel to make the writing experience as comfortable and pain-free as possible.

To extend the lead, you can simply shake the pencil up and down—there's no need to let go and re-grip your pencil every time. The pencil also has a conventional push button for users who prefer that method. The shaker mechanism can be locked and unlocked with a quick twist of the grip section to prevent the lead from accidentally extending in your pocket or pen case. When the shaker mechanism is locked, a small notch in the barrel will line up with the "Fure Fure Lock" line on the barrel.

I’ve never had one...

I’ve never had one of these shaker pencils before. While I still prefer to click the pen, just having to gently shake it to get some more lead is convenient. I also appreciate the fact you can lock that mechanism for when you put this in your pocket or bag so it doesn’t keep dispensing lead. The grip is pretty good too, and I’ve written for a good amount of time without the pain I’d normally get in my fingers holding a more rigid mechanical pencil.
