I LOVE this pencil! It is perfect to write a note inside a greeting card. Purple is my signature color and I dislike making mistakes as I write. The eraser on the top of the pencil doesn't do a very good job. It just smears the markings. I highly recommend using the Tombow Mono Eraser...and poof...mistakes vanish.
I'm so happy with the pencil as well as the Violet 'lead,' that I fully intend to order multiple replacements, and likely a couple more pencils. For some reason, pencils and pens disappear in my home, only to reappear in another person's hands. Back ups are my only defense. Thank you JetPens!

I ordered this pencil sharpener after watching a YouTuber that is a colored pencil artist, like myself. I have tried SO many pencil sharpeners that I have a large stash of battery, electric and manual pencil sharpeners in my art cabinet.
Honestly, I could not get the same result as the artist on that YouTube channel...and I specifically asked what she used...and I was directed here to JetPens and this sharpener.
In case you may be wondering, I use the same CP brands as that artist...thus my interest in what she uses. The results that I was after was a longer sharpened area of the pencil. This didn't give me that result.
Don't get me wrong, this sharpener works! However, so does my electric that has a large shavings catch system, and is a great deal less fatiguing on the hand and wrist. Of course, I was willing to set that luxury aside if the results were better. So while this sharpener wasn't for me...it is a very good option for other colored pencil artists looking for a sharpener that actually works. Many of the ones I have tried don't even come close to say that they work.
I also feel that this sharpener could easily be fitted with a lightweight shaving collection area. I hope this review is helpful in some way for other CP artists. At this price point, I would recommend every CP artist try it.
If I could have given this a 4 1/2 stars I would have.

Tombow Mono Erasers work so well that graphite and colored pencils (certain ones) can be erased as if there was nothing there to begin with! My biggest frustration has been being able to get my hands on this eraser in anything but a mini size. In the US, these are just not sold at art stores which should be on everyone's shelves.
I was originally looking for a specific pencil sharpener when I came to JetPens. Oh my goodness! I was more excited about the Extra Large, and Large sized Tombow Mono Erasers that were available that I ordered two of each...just in case something awful happens and I cannot get another eraser this size.
It fits in the hand so well, and as I mentioned the eraser is really fantastic. Thank you JetPens! You have no idea how happy you made me as I checked out on your site.
