I say the same for HSEMS, H&SMS and now an EMS, they don't work in isolation and having a separate MS for an element of good business sets it aside and makes it easier to split off/see it as another person's responsibility. The only way forward is integrated business management system that link the management of all risks and opportunities, be they operational or non operational. This goes further than the IOGP OMS, ensuring non op and op management is integrated.
