Many coaches I have met have a fairly broad niche which often leads to a less effective coaching model. When I became a career coach, I defined my niche and then added 3 more parameters to niche down even more. By defining my niche, (encore career professionals over the age of 50 making 6 figures,) I can hyper-focus on that specific group of individuals and hone my skills to meet their needs and serve with excellence. If a coach has "everyone" as his/her niche, it will be difficult to make a real impact. Doctors have specialties Lawyers have specialties Builders have specialties Coaches should also.
