You think you have a good plan for the day - and then comes a client/your boss/a co-worker with urgent and important tasks that can´t wait. Your thinking gets confused and you have a hard time thinking clearly. Now is the time for a deep breath and one more. You can also stretch and jump up and down to clear your brain again. Now you can take a pen and write down what you are supposed to do next with that urgent task. Read it out loud and it will be easier for your brain to get started. Do one step at a time, tick it off the list, and take the next. Before each next step take a deep breath and check your list to ensure you do the tasks in the best order. Rearrange if needed. Taking these breaths regularly will help your mind stay calm.
