Don't ask what your connections can do for you. Ask what you can do for your connections... Similar to RFK but pretty much the same effect - GLOBALLY!

If you know the person, ask directly If you do not know the person, be specific and clear in the ask (Eliminate waffle and “Ums and ers”)

Choose your platforms wisely. You need to be on them all, but the ones you are on need regular attention. It’s not enough to only contribute once a month if you expect worthwhile results.

In my experience, you can look up the company social media pages/sites to check the company's culture, history, what they celebrate and whole lot of views. Industry professionals are people who love their job, thus knowing researching their company gives you a way on how to approach them, what your opening sentence should be etc.
