Try to stay open for imperfections, give space for individualism and failure. Work on creating a culture in which your team member have the courage to speak up rather than hide their mistakes, since that's going to cost you more of your time and energy in the end.

If you truly want to delegate, that also means delegating decision power. Otherwise, you are just having the same energy consumption into telling your team members what and how to do it. Based on the experience with my own team and over 200 startups that I coached, I would always recommend to start with small steps and give some of your smaller decisions to your team members. Set regular check-ins so that they can approach you in moments of doubt. Set clear boundaries up to which level the decisions can be taken without you and from which level you should be necessarily involved. Bring in trust, appreciation and feedback.
