(edited)The best way I’ve found to stay on top of market trends is to ask for feedback regularly. Many small businesses ask for reviews or for referrals but forget to first ask for feedback. “What went well for you in your experience with our business?” “What could we do to improve your experience in the future?” Open ended questions and regularly asking leads to always knowing how your unique micro market is evolving. And it scales seamlessly. Each location has its own micro set of market conditions. Then as the market trends shift over time, you will capture those evolving needs in a timely manner.
