1. Stay up-to-date with all the changes and updates across editing softwares. (Especially: Premiere Pro, AVID, and DaVinci) 2. Try to get in touch with professional video editors in the industry via email/LinkedIn to ask for advice and feedback on your work. Make sure to give them ample time to respond before sending a follow-up mail. 3. Attend events where you can meet and network with people from the industry.

Prefer using multiple editing applications and learn them in depth. It is important for you to complete the work and deliver the content regardless of the editing tool. Your client wants the work and not your software. Please! Do learn Kinemaster or any other good mobile editing software for on the go experience. I have produced films, music videos and ads shot on phone and edited on my phone. Also, work on your story telling skills, a good editor is a good story teller. Learn the key terms of the industry with precision to provide an accurate product. Remember, you are helping a business or an individual convey a message and that message takes precedence over every aesthetic shot.

Personally I feel every video editor should work on his consistent personal brand. Now what does that mean? It simply means to tell your story and share your journey as a video editor. This will make your journey unique and in future, it will surely open a Pandora of opportunities for you.

Feedbacks are necessary because you see it from editors perspective while you also need a Third person’s perspective to find out where you lack.

Les commentaires sont un bon moyen de savoir ce qui convient ou non. Effectivement, il y a toujours des commentaires haineux, il faut juste passer au-delà de ça et se concentrer sur les commentaires positifs. Cette analyse permet d'améliorer notre contenu progressivement et aussi de tester certaines choses.

Once you’ve received feedback, take it in and make those changes accordingly. That’s something I had to do when I started my editing journey and still have to do now. It will always be a learning experience. Make those changes and get feedback on your work again. If you can’t make those changes, watch YouTube tutorials and follow their instructions. Utilize those skills in future videos as well!

It's incomprehensive how you could literally connect with US based clients and work just in the basis of you skill. I totally recommend you to build a personal network offline, and online.

I got my first international client through a connection I made on LinkedIn. Trust me, networking can open doors to opportunities you never imagined. The best way to build a network is through LinkedIn. Build connections, provide value, and have meaningful conversations. Don't make connections just to show off your profile; build them to grow together.

La música es, para mí, un elemento fundamental para dar a tu pieza audiovisual un estilo y carisma únicos. Gran parte del tiempo que ocupo en el proceso de montaje se va en encontrar un tema que exprese todo aquello que quiero contar. No es un paso sencillo, pero si se da de buena manera el resto de la etapa de post-producción fluirá de mejor forma y, sobre todo, teñirá a tu producto de aquello necesario para reflejar lo que deseas como realizador.
