You're facing failure in Corporate Finance. How will it impact your career prospects?

Allow yourself time to process these emotions. -Accepting Reality: Accept that failure is a part of professional growth and an opportunity to learn. Understanding this can help mitigate the initial shock. -Support Systems: Lean on your support systems, such as family, friends, and mentors, to help navigate through this period.

It's easy for imposter syndrome to set in early into your finance career. This is extremely normal and isn't indicative of what you'll be 3, 5, or 10 years down the road. Find small ways to improve your understanding and skillsets each day and over time you will become comfortable with a wide range of challenges that exist in the corporate finance world. Establish your baseline and build from there.

Looking every business under a financial lens, gives you a structured view, that can lead you to find and tackle problems faster. When I began my career in finance I thought I wasn't made for this, but perseverance and adaptability are key. Ask yourself: Do you really want this? How much do you want this?

-Self-Assessment: Take time to reflect on what went wrong. Identify specific factors that contributed to the failure, whether they were internal (skills, decisions) or external (market conditions). -Strengths and Weaknesses: Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. Understanding these can help you recognize areas that need improvement and areas where you excel. -Career Goals: Reassess your career goals in light of the failure. Determine if they need to be adjusted or if new goals should be set.

Ultimamente me he tomado un tiempo para reflexionar sobre mi carrera. Analicé los errores cometidos y las decisiones que llevaron a esas situaciónes. Este proceso de autoevaluación me a permitido identificar áreas específicas de mejora y reafirmar mi pasión por las finanzas corporativas. Utilicé herramientas de IA para realizar análisis más profundos de las decisiones tomadas y sus impactos, ahora estoy con la vista en la cima y los pies en la tierra.

Understand where you're lacking. Skill deficiencies are only permanent if you allow them to be. Seek feedback from your higher-ups and peers on specific finance concepts you are struggling with and how they navigated similar challenges. Once you identify a core set of skills you want to grow, try to find an online offering that has all of these skills centralized in a course that you can complete at your own pace. Applying the learnings from the course in a real-world setting is key, so be sure to leverage your new toolkit in the workplace to build confidence.

This can help you build confidence and expertise.

Ahora participo activamente en actividades relacionadas con Finanzas Corporativas, Inteligencia de Negocios y Automatizacion. Es interesante el valor de las experiencias de puedes recibir de otras personas. Esta mejora continua no solo me hizo más competente, sino también más confiado en mis capacidades. Life is full of failures, so it is important to have an error log, for everything in life, because a) you cannot improve it if you cannot measure it, and b) you'll never going to know where you should improve. So, in that sense, future projects should be always a better version of past ones.
