When planning internal networking events at Kaufland e-commerce, my team and I have used the following approaches: We incorporate pop-cultural trends that we find on social media or hear our friends talking about. Remember that most events have a purpose. Did a sales team meet their annual goal? Was there a major promotion? Do you know if this event is meant to entertain clients? Once you know the purpose, you can authentically tailor the event to your audience.

I usually advise anyone organizing an event to create a fictional character of their ideal guest. In the same way that any company would when determining who their target market is. This enables you to provide attendees with a more genuine experience. Based on demographics, behavior patterns, and objectives, these attendee personas are fictitious depictions of your ideal guests. By using these "mock-ups" of your guests, you can better organize your experiences to meet the needs and expectations of different kinds of people, which will boost participation and guarantee higher attendance.

From past events I have used theme parks. When out of season these offer the best offering including parking and accommodation all on one site. Parks are more interesting to attendees as they venture into different themed areas making the event more interesting rather than walking around in a large open space like a hanger or square event space.

Funnily enough, every year, company event organisers decide on the same ideal date for the event. So keep this in mind.

During the Covid pandemic, we learned that people from all over the world can come together virtually for an event. This has major implications for event planning. In the past, event organizers focused on getting as many people as possible to physically attend an event, but now we can reach a much larger audience by using technology. Algo muy importante a la hora de la planificación de un evento es que si el mismo va a contar con gastronomia preveer conseguir los insumos en un radio no mayor a 200 o 300 kilometros, la comida local siempre sabe mejor, es más fresca e impulsa las economias regionales, nadie necesita que una langosta azul congelada viaje muchos kilometros desde nueva guinea para que el evento sea cool, por el contrario encontrar insumos autocnos en la zona del evento es una proesa mayor y mucho más enriquecedora.
