She spoke about the intersection of language capability and military careers, leveraging her 25 years of service in the United States Air Force and her experience in the Language, Security Cooperation, and Public Diplomacy spheres 🌎 Sarah encouraged Cadets to consider the role of language in their Air and Space Force careers. 413, LLC is proud to be a part of developing our Security Sector’s future leaders. ✈️

We are lucky to have two veterans on our 413 team, Sarah Balian, Director of Programs, and Adam Foote, Director of Operations.   Sarah recently retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service, 10 of which she spent in Security Cooperation - a perfect segue into the important work we do at 413. Adam served in the United States Army for six years before completing his advanced degrees.    We appreciate the courage and sacrifice of all those who serve our nation. Last week, our CEO Dr. Jessica Lee and Director of Programs Sarah Balian spoke with African leaders from Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Guinea, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Togo during their visit to the United States under the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). The group discussed community strategies to counter violent extremism, including federal coordination with local and regional stakeholders.   Big thanks to Catalyst Campus, Colorado Springs for hosting this exciting event.
