We love seeing our business partner, DFI Retail Group, make innovative and sustainable choices! 7-Eleven Hong Kong is upcycling coffee grounds and excess bread to create a one-of-a-kind craft beer! Check out the story below.
7-Eleven Hong Kong and Hong Kong Maxim's Group are proud to introduce BOB (Bottle of Bread), a one-of-a-kind craft beer brewed from upcycled coffee grounds and surplus bread! This innovative partnership builds on 7-Eleven's "Grounds to Green" program, taking both companies' commitment to sustainability to new heights. By replacing traditional barley with surplus bread and coffee grounds from 7-Eleven’s own brand 7CAFÉ, this collaboration champions a circular economy and reduces waste. The result is a delicious and unique brew perfect for any occasion. Showcasing this groundbreaking collaboration, Alex Liu, Managing Director of 7-Eleven Hong Kong and Macau, and Keith Siu, Chief Operating Officer of Maxim’s Group, celebrated the launch of BOB at a media event. Popular actress Lin Min-chen, the face of the brand launch, also joined the event to help raise awareness for this eco-conscious brew. It is just one of the ways we are exploring more sustainable practices, offering innovative solutions for our customers and the planet. We are proud to take steps in the right direction. Here’s to a greener, more sustainable future! #DFIRetailGroup #7Eleven #MaximsGroup #GroundsToGreen #Upcycling #BOB #BottleOfBread #Sustainaiblity #CircularEconomy #SustainingthePlanet
