A little more than 4 years ago I started the path of startups hand in hand with MEDU Protection many know how I started: motivated by the fact that my family was protected, where I quickly became obsessed with the solution with the greatest impact. Throughout this time it has become a dream that several people have built, a dream to make this world a much better place and to see that sustainable business is the future. This year 776 Foundation joins as part of our journey, part of Alexis Ohanian Sr. work to make the world an even better place. Every little breakthrough we have during our day to day, every client who trusts us, every team member, every partner, and every person who encourages us to keep changing an industry that hasn't changed in years, makes this journey a unique and wonderful experience. I am grateful to every person who has crossed our path, who has motivated us to move forward, this kind of news and support is what takes us even further. So congrats to Alexis and Elisabeth Garvin for this initiative, I am more than proud to be part of the most important environmental impact community in the world. AND THAT'S A WRAP!!! 🙌 Last night, I gave our final pitch to a group of esteemed real estate professionals, investors, proptech enthusiasts, and friends to round out our last week of the MetaProp Accelerator. This was so incredibly special to us and words cannot describe how much this program has done for us. 💗 It's given us a sense of community in the New York scene, a network of like-minded individuals that kick butt, a special warmth in an otherwise rickety and cold startup world, and it sounds cliche, but many many friends along the way. 🤝 This won't be a quick post because there are definitely LOTS of people to thank, but I wanted to especially shout out my cofounder and CTO Amanda S.. Startups are already insane as it is, but when you're building a natural disaster / insurance / mitigation startup, things get wayyyyy crazier. But she is always there, either to reel me in or let me dive, bringing her incredibly depth of knowledge and patience, and there's no one I would rather build this company with than her. (You can thank her for the beautiful slides in our presentation :)). 💝 🍀 Of course, I have to give shoutouts to the MetaProp team: to Aaron Block for keeping my head on straight, to Zach Aarons for fine tuning the details, to Evan Petitt for making sure we always knew what was going on, when it was going on, and giving us such incredible structure, to Ryan Coon for being an incredible mentor and moving us in the right direction, and to the rest of the Metaprop team - thank you for making this the most memorable time we've ever had. Final shoutouts to CBRE for hosting us on Pilot Day, PwC for hosting us on Demo Day, and to all of the people I don't even really know yet that made this possible. 💫 This is just the beginning. ✨
