What if the key to the future of wireless communication was hidden in an ancient Japanese art form? Researchers at Drexel University and the University of British Columbia have done just that — transforming kirigami, the art of cutting and folding paper, into a cutting-edge technology. By using MXene nanomaterials, they’ve created flexible, tunable antennas that could reshape the way we connect. Lightweight, durable, and incredibly versatile, these antennas are poised to revolutionize fields like robotics and aerospace. Want to know how art and science are joining forces to push wireless tech forward? Had a fantastic time visiting Parkway Northwest High School for #NanoDay as part of our outreach efforts led by University of Pennsylvania - Singh Center for Nanotechnology! I spoke to students about the incredible power of artificial intelligence in science and everyday life. I also introduced them to MXenes, a revolutionary 2D material discovered at Drexel University that’s reshaping several key areas of research.💡 Great to see the next generation of scientists getting inspired by these exciting developments! Thanks to Prof. Yury Gogotsi, the A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute and The Fulbright Program for their continued support.✨ United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), New Delhi Institute of International Education Drexel University College of Engineering #MaterialsScience #STEMEducation #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #ScienceOutreach #Education #SustainableFuture

Honored to deliver the opening plenary lecture titled "#MXenes and Their Hybrids with Graphene and other 2D Materials" at the #Graphene Week in Prague. This is clear recognition of the leading position of #MXene in the rich and diverse world of #2Dmaterials. And I enjoyed interesting talk, panel discussions and meetings with publishers (Kate Porter, IOP) colleagues and collaborators (Zdeněk Sofer, Patrik Johansson, Hassan Arafat, Forat El-Sayed, Ameer Al-Temimi, and many others). A very productive Day 1 of Graphene Week. https://lnkd.in/emH9Javc A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute
