Our Artist in Residence Program marries creativity and community by immersing artists into our company through the full, yearlong process of winemaking, all while creating art to reflect their experiences. At A to Z Wineworks, we believe that business should be conducted as if people and places matter, which is why becoming a B Corp was so in-tune with our values. Now, we’re celebrating our 10th anniversary as the first B Corp winery in the U.S. Certified B Corps are organizations that undergo rigorous assessment by the non-profit B Lab in order to verify performance standards for social and environmental accountability and transparency. B Corps change their legal language to take into account all of their stakeholders. That means working to conduct commerce with conscience with everyone: our best partners, those who make and drink our wine, and our community. From its founding, A to Z has been on a mission to offer dependable, quality wine accessible for all. #BCorp #BusinessforGood

Calling all artists, A to Z Wineworks is seeking applicants for its fifth Artist in Residence! All mediums are welcome, from photography, painting, mixed-media and beyond. This yearlong program would start in late August by working the 2024 harvest season, followed by a year focused on creating new works of art while continuing to learn and follow the winemaking process, seeing the vintage through to bottling. The artist will then work part-time for the next harvest season, now with the past year’s perspective. The residency wraps with an artist showcase of their work from the residency. You can learn more and submit your portfolio and application here: https://lnkd.in/g53s5DUx #artistresidency #harvest2024

We’re pleased to introduce our new Director of Sourcing & Grower Relations, Clint Nelson. Clint handles strategic development and oversight of our total fruit supply spanning across Oregon, as well as managing relationships with our grower partners. He’ll be heading up our Viticulture team for our Oregon brands of A to Z Wineworks, Erath Winery, and REX HILL, working with the team pictured (L to R) Kevin Rodgers, Joey Myers, Devin Weeks, (Clint), Nicole Jolliffe, and Meredith Howlett. Clint comes to us from Bonterra Organic Estates where he was instrumental in facilitating the certification of over 1,000 acres to Regenerative Organic vineyards. He’s been involved in industry and community organizations including serving on the boards of the American Vineyard Foundation and the Ukiah Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency, presented at various conferences including Unified, and published several academic papers on various viticulture topics. We couldn’t ask for a better group to steward the vines and growers that make up the foundation of our business. Welcome, Clint!

We were thrilled to welcome our fabulous Oregon partners at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits to an event at University of Oregon’s Autzen Stadium in Eugene last week – the sun even came out to join us! Winning weather for a winning lineup – A to Z Wineworks, Erath Winery, and REX HILL make up Ste. Michelle Wine Estates’ Oregon portfolio, and represent one out of every four bottles sold of Oregon wine. We’re also proud partners of Oregon Athletics; see if you can spot us at your next Ducks football, baseball, or basketball game. Together, we really are, “Mighty Oregon!”
