Cheers to Harvest 2024! We've had an incredible growing season, balanced healthy vineyards, and perfect ripening weather to kick off harvest at the winery. Now the magic (and hard work!) happens. Making tiny adjustments to fermentations that will have big impacts later. I love taking ideas and techniques from previous vintages and seeing how they react to our fruit this year. Harvest 2024 is in full swing! 🍇 Our team is hard at work getting the fruit ready for this year's vintage. It's time for early mornings, hard work, and anticipation as we prepare for our 56th harvest producing Oregon wines.

Since its founding in 1968, Erath has been making wines that reflect Oregon’s unique, cool-climate growing conditions. Today, Oregon wine is consistently recognized for its distinct profile and consistent quality, which is why we celebrate Oregon Wine Month! We’re proud to be part of our home state’s winegrowing legacy, having worked to put Oregon on the map and establish it as a growing region specially suited to exceptional Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Exciting news for those looking to kick start their career in viticulture! A paid internship opportunity is available with three iconic Oregon brands: Erath Winery, REX HILL & A to Z Wineworks. Join a passionate and seasoned viticulture team who are willing to share their knowledge and expertise with you. As part of this unique opportunity, you will travel to AVA's throughout the State of Oregon to build your understanding of farming practices while contributing to the 2024 vintages. Happy Earth Day! As one of Oregon’s pioneering wineries, our goal is to craft Erath wines to reflect the terroir of our home, our foundation. We honor the land we’ve cultivated for over 40 years through conscientious farming techniques, carrying that care through to each bottle. But we’re not stopping there - our IWCA Silver Status membership commits us to becoming carbon neutral by 2050, as part of our pledge to leave our environment better for future generations.

We’re pleased to introduce our new Director of Sourcing & Grower Relations, Clint Nelson. Clint handles strategic development and oversight of our total fruit supply spanning across Oregon, as well as managing relationships with our grower partners. He’ll be heading up our Viticulture team for our Oregon brands of A to Z Wineworks, Erath Winery, and REX HILL, working with the team pictured (L to R) Kevin Rodgers, Joey Myers, Devin Weeks, (Clint), Nicole Jolliffe, and Meredith Howlett. Clint comes to us from Bonterra Organic Estates where he was instrumental in facilitating the certification of over 1,000 acres to Regenerative Organic vineyards. He’s been involved in industry and community organizations including serving on the boards of the American Vineyard Foundation and the Ukiah Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency, presented at various conferences including Unified, and published several academic papers on various viticulture topics. We couldn’t ask for a better group to steward the vines and growers that make up the foundation of our business. Welcome, Clint!

Winning weather for a winning lineup – A to Z Wineworks, Erath Winery, and REX HILL make up Ste. Michelle Wine Estates’ Oregon portfolio, and represent one out of every four bottles sold of Oregon wine. We’re also proud partners of Oregon Athletics; see if you can spot us at your next Ducks football, baseball, or basketball game. Together, we really are, “Mighty Oregon!”
