October 19 is National Slow Down Move Over Day. Please help protect those who protect us. On behalf of all the roadside heroes who work dangerously close to traffic, please slow down and move over when you see flashing lights.

We've been hosting free catalytic converter theft prevention events across our footprint to keep our communities safe. At these events, our technicians apply a nonremovable label to the catalytic converter, which, if stolen, can be a costly replacement. We love that these events allow us to meet AAA members and nonmembers, provide a valuable service free of charge and collaborate across departments.

Last week we hosted a Young Women Multicultural Student Enrichment Forum at our Michigan headquarters, bringing together female leaders at AAA and in the community with local high school students. The day focused on money management and pathways to career success while creating opportunities for connection. We loved seeing how inspired and engaged these young women were while learning about female empowerment in the workplace. Thank you to the volunteers, speakers and students who helped make this day so incredible!

We’re excited to announce our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 50,000 trees across our footprint! This partnership reinforces our commitment to sustainability and the communities we serve. Our reforestation efforts include restoration of areas impacted by hurricanes. In addition, we are working with local organizations to create green spaces in communities of need. These efforts will lead to wellness benefits like improved air quality and natural cooling to reduce risk factors for heat-related illness. Together, we’re working to protect our planet and ensure a more sustainable future for generations to come. #ArborDay

Across our footprint, our Women in Leadership Employee Resource Group hosted 3 donation drives and hygiene kit packing events in partnership with I Support The Girls, an organization that collects and distributes bras and feminine hygiene products for those experiencing homelessness. We collected thousands of donations, packed hundreds of hygiene kits and enjoyed mingling, trivia and writing affirmation cards to the donation recipients. Thanks to all who donated and joined us for these wonderful events!
