Corten Steel is often used for outdoor construction because of its durability and unique rusting quality. Within a few months, Corten Steel begins to develop a rust appearing patina that adds a protective corrosion-resistant layer on the metal, helping it to last decades. Corten Steel is typically used for landscaping, sculptures, roofing, signposts, and marine applications.
