  • Throwback Thursday: This week, Acella is reflecting on its work at SRC Medical located in Hanover, MA. The 45,000-square-foot ground-up project encompasses a single-story warehouse with a two-story mezzanine that houses private offices and lunch and conference rooms. Other project characteristics include a new 2000 AMP electrical service and transformer, a ThyssenKrupp Hydraulic Elevator, a curtainwall exterior for the lobby, energy-efficient lighting and occupancy sensors throughout the warehouse and a three-bay loading dock with hydraulic dock levelers. This hybrid construction also used a metal building provided by Metallic Building Systems for the warehouse and storage area while tying in the office areas with conventional framing. #tbt #healthcareconstruction #constructionmanagement

  • Throwback Thursday: With the new school year underway, let's take a look back at the Jackson Walnut Park School, which began construction in June 2017. The 10,346 square-foot facility includes a new full gymnasium, a theatrical stage, an expansive culinary kitchen, and classroom space for students in grades K-6 and faculty at the school. It is located at 55 Walnut Park, Newton, MA. This expansion meets the school’s modern needs and fulfills its vision of "Building Our Future" to "Open the Mind and Grow the Heart" for its students. The new Student Center is at the heart of the school's Newton campus. Acella’s extensive experience in working with academic clients played a crucial role in the Jackson Walnut Park School's decision to award the project to Acella. Acella has undertaken various educational projects, collaborating with prestigious New England private and independent schools as well as higher education clients. We take great pride in the academic projects we undertake. #tbt #academicconstruction #generalcontractor #constructionmanagement
