Happy World Vegan Day! 🌱 Today, we're proud to highlight our incredible partner, FEEDING GA FAMILIES. Since 2018, Alicia Rivera and her dedicated team have been serving vegan and allergy-sensitive food options to those in need, making sure everyone in our community feels supported. "We don't have clients, we have families. So, once they come through our doors, they're part of our family now. We look out for each other", said Rivera. Last Friday, the Food Bank and the USDA hosted a Stakeholder Engagement Roundtable that brought together our CEO, Kyle Waide, USDA Deputy Under Secretary Cindy Long, and representatives from Golden Harvest Food Bank, Feeding Georgia, Southeast Regional Cooperative, Inc., Clayton County Public Schools, Antioch Urban Ministries Inc, Margie's House GA, Cascade United Methodist Church, and FIRST AFRICAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION to address the issue of food insecurity affecting thousands of families in Metro Atlanta. The discussion covered key topics such as school nutrition, emergency food assistance, and the role of disaster response in ensuring communities receive the food they need during crises. This kind of collaboration between state agencies, nonprofits, and government entities is essential in building stronger, more resilient food systems. We’re incredibly thankful to everyone who participated and look forward to continued efforts to make healthy food accessible for all.

Thanks to the local financial services industry professionals, this year's Food For All fundraising competition was a phenomenal success. Together, we've raised enough to provide 114,192 meals to families facing hunger across Atlanta.
