We’re still feeling inspired after the Women of Color STEM Conference earlier this month. It was remarkable to witness the sheer amount of STEM talent present, and we were proud to celebrate the achievements of 19 Actalent consultants who received awards. ✨ Our VP of People, Estelle Izuno, delivered inspiring remarks at the awards gala, and many Actalent colleagues attended to support the award winners, participate in professional development panels and continue to inspire future STEM leaders.   🏆 We were also extremely proud to see the director of the Microsoft Leap program, Yolanda Natal-Santos, win the Women of Color Impact Award. This past weekend, I had the pleasure of volunteering alongside the Women’s International Network of Utility Professionals WiNUP-Corpus Christi Chapter to serve lunch to residents at our local Ronald McDonald House. Our dedicated WiNUP members cooked and served a delicious meal, bringing smiles and comfort to the residents. The event was generously sponsored by Actalent who provided all the ingredients and supplies needed. I am grateful to be part of an organization committed to making a positive impact in our community through active volunteering and partnerships with other non-profit organizations. Our Actalent team made a special visit to Manoir Ronald McDonald Montréal last week! We had a fantastic time volunteering as chefs for the day and preparing lunch for the families staying there. In addition to filling our cups, it was a meaningful way to give back and help those in need, and I am so grateful we had the chance to do so. Ronald McDonald House provides incredible support to children and families, offering care and a place to stay so they can focus on their loved ones’ health without added stress. Many of us have been touched by illness in some way, so contributing as a team was especially meaningful because we're helping families get through challenging times.
