We're excited to announce that Gregory Hill, MEng (Hons.), FS Eng (TÜV SIS), AMIChemE has joined us as a Senior Associate Engineer on the Quantitative Risk Services team. Greg holds an MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering and has been working since 2012 as a Process Engineer in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, oil & gas, and refining. He has also served as a Functional Safety, Risk and Reliability consultant, and Process Safety Engineer. He began his career with a UK-based consultancy firm, delivering #HAZID, #HAZOP, #QRA, and #FunctionalSafety (SIL and SRS) projects primarily in the Oil and Gas, Chemicals, and Energy sectors across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. After relocating to the United States, Greg has spent the past year as a consultant. He is an experienced and certified FS Engineer who enjoys tackling new projects, building partnerships, and continuously learning. The recent revisions to the 2024 EPA Risk Management Program (RMP) final rule present significant changes and challenges for industries to navigate. AcuTech and Farley & Partners LLP recently concluded a comprehensive three-part webinar series to provide in-depth insights into these updates. This series covered critical aspects of the new regulations, including the safer technologies and alternatives analysis, third-party audits, stationary source siting, and emergency response measures. In the past month, the strength of our team has continued to grow. We would like to welcome the following individuals to AcuTech: Janmejay Tiwary, Senior Process Safety Consultant. Janmejay is a Chemical Engineer with 19+ years of engineering and consulting experience in Process Design Engineering, Operations Technical Support, and Process Safety in the oil and gas industry. He is skilled in all aspects of qualitative and quantitative risk assessment. He is a trained and experienced PHA facilitator, leading projects in India and for international facilities and operations. Janmejay is passionate about process safety as he finds it to be another challenging layer in responsible process design and he likes the complexity. Ken (Kyung) Min Min, Senior Engineer. Ken rejoined AcuTech after recently completing an MBA at Lehigh University. He has over 12 years of hands-on experience working in paper, chemical & gas processing plants. With an entire career dedicated specifically to mechanical integrity, Ken has conducted PSM program audits in various industries, and facilitated Process Hazards Analyses (HAZOP/LOPA). Ken enjoys the breadth of mechanical integrity and is excited about the potential to raise the bar and standardize MI best practices across the industry. Pramod Sathe, Trainee Engineer – Process Safety. Pramod is a results-driven engineering enthusiast with experience in process engineering and communications protocol. He has worked on academic projects such as the Design and Process Simulation of an Azeotropic Distillation Column for an Ethanol Water System and an Overflow Prevention System through the use of Ultrasonic Sensors. Shreya Roy, Trainee Engineer – Process Safety. Shreya is a dedicated chemical engineering graduate looking forward to applying her theoretical knowledge and contributing to innovative solutions. She has completed internships in data analysis, industrial and production engineering, and in academia, including a project on the manufacturing, designing, and function of dryers used in the pharmaceutical, food, and dye industries. These skilled professionals will continue to strengthen our expanding mechanical integrity group and teams around the world. We are pleased to announce that David Moore will serve as a track chair at the inaugural Hydrogen Risk and Reliability Analysis Conference (HyRRAC) in Glendale, CA, from February 3-5, 2025. He will chair the Systems Safety Analysis and Risk-Informed Design and Siting track. This unique conference provides a dedicated platform for Hydrogen Safety Research, and we are thrilled to contribute! The call for abstracts is currently open through June 14th. Authors are invited to submit a 200 – 650 word Abstract on topics that span over a dozen areas within Hydrogen Safety Research. Hosted by ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers)’s Safety Engineering Risk Analysis Division (SERAD), the event will bring together hydrogen risk research experts, industry, and enthusiasts in one place to share their findings, experience, and research progress towards risk and reliability of large-scale hydrogen storage plants and systems. #HyRRAC #hydrogensafety #processsafety #riskassessments
