    The 2024 MYR in Minneapolis, MN is just around the corner, and we'll be announcing speakers, sponsors, and workshops all week! #WhyAd2 Kicking off the week, we're ecstatic to announce The BrandLab as our Premium Sponsor. The BrandLab, a non-profit with the mission of changing the face and voice of the marketing and advertising profession, will be leading us in their "Words Matter: Intent vs. Impact" leadership workshop. This workshop will guide a Fearless Conversation about the power of words and will explore unconscious bias, how they show up in the workplace, and how they impact marginalized communities.     Applications for the 2025 Most Promising Multicultural Students Program Now Open! Apply by October 31, 2024 at aaf.org/mpms Each year, the selected Most Promising Multicultural Students spend an immersive week NYC to meet ing professionals from top brands, media companies and advertising agencies. The program also provides students with the opportunity to meet recruiters looking for entry-level talent.

    At the 2024 Chair orientation, it was amazing to come together to discuss the goals of the AAF as well as the goals for our local clubs to collaborate on ways we can connect and build. With the goal of advancing our industry while serving our membership, we collaborated on next steps and ways that we could support each other on those goals. We built a stronger connection for each unique pillar that makes up the AAF which allowed for better brainstorming. We were able to talk about the thread from college to Ad 2 and into the AAF local chapters and beyond, and we are in for a wonderful year ahead! #WhyAd2

    It’s Board Orientation Day! Our new Chairs and Vice Chairs received an in-depth look at all things AAF.     Ad 2 National is pleased to finish out announcements of our Executive Team for the 2024-2025 term with our Immediate Past Chair Ariana Peters. Ariana, a Customer Success Manager at Catalina Marketing, is right at home with Ad 2 Tampa Bay. With seven years of Ad 2 service under her belt, Ariana started in Public Service, then moved on to be Ad 2 Tampa Bay's Membership Director and President. In 2021, Ariana joined the Ad 2 National Executive Team to be 2nd Vice Chair, Vice Chair, and Chair. We're very thankful for Ariana's leadership and advice throughout this year!     Ad 2 National is pleased to announce our Executive Team for the 2024-2025 term. Megan Nelson, CPC will be our Vice Chair, serving as treasurer of Ad 2 National and Division V representative to the American Advertising Federation National Board of Directors. Megan, the Director of Communications and Community Engagement for the City of Canyon, Texas, calls Ad 2 Amarillo her home club. In the past five years, Megan has served on the AAF Amarillo board as Communications Chair, leading to her becoming the Founding President of Ad 2 Amarillo, which she founded with her board in 2021. She also previously served as the Ad 2 Representative on the AAF District 10 Executive Committee and the 2nd Vice Chair of Ad 2 National.
