Located in an early 20th century reinforced masonry building, our Hunter project had to be redesigned to fit the clothing manufacturer’s needs. Raw and warm materials were chosen to create simple yet sophisticated interiors that complement the building's industrial aesthetic. Built in three sections, our Hunter project is organized into a variety of zones: a public/administrative zone, a manufacturing zone, and a product treatment zone. Located in the middle of the building, the product treatment zone contains an outdoor patio, which is used for events and drying and curing of knitwear materials. Situated in Los Angeles’ Art District, Hunter is a 19,600 sqft tenant improvement transformation of a former granary and distillery building into a manufacturing and corporate headquarters for a well known knitwear company. Bringing new life into a monotonous office park, our DAUM project removed materials such as low hanging mundane t-bar ceilings to maximize height and natural light while reflectors and energy efficient lighting were added to allow light to infiltrate the darkest corners of the office.
